Ok, there's a conflict here.
The "Hardware Acceleration" option causes problems in some systems. But this option is neccesary for playing QuickTime MOV files (as well as the QuickTime Alternative package). Thus, as you unfortunately experience the "Hardware Acceleration" problem, you won't be able to properly play the MOV files. I'm working on fixing the "Hardware Acceleration" problem. Next release should have this issue fixed. Until then, you may try converting the MOV files to a different format (WMV, MPEG...). If the converted files are low-quality, then you should try another converter. Here you have some useful links: http://www.surfpack.com/software/mpg/ http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/5895p1.html About the memory error, it means that your display card has not enough video memory for playing two videos at the same time. You should either change your display card (ensure to have at least 128 Mb, 256 recommended) or adjust the video size to 512x512 or lower (Open the VJ2, then Settings > Video). Best regards, |

Ok this is by far the coolest and easiest video playback software I have seen. Awsome. Here is the challenge. I have ripped a couple of promo only music videos into my mac. The .mov files were not recognized by VJ2 (ver. 3) I did download the quicktime alternative system, but VJ2 still would not see the .mov files. I then converted them to .avi files. The image quality is horrible and I am experiencing the video slowing down and not keeping up with audio. Also when attempting to load other files during playback, the songs hicup. I am also experiencing VJ2 saying not enough memory when attempting to load the next video. I did try disabling the hardware accelerator in the settings but to no prevail. What am I doing wrong. (The slowest system I am using is a p4 2.6 ghz processor and 764 megs of ram) Is there something in the config of the program that needs to be addressed. Thats all for now, I look forward to the assistance. Thanks
