I have a problem with this program.  I recently had to have work done on my computer...new hard drive, new motherboard, etc.  I can't update my songs database.  When I try to do that it gets stuck around 8,000 songs.  I have roughtly 24,000 songs.  When I start the program I get this error message now.

Error:  SDB_CFile:  Invalid Record Found [#4278]  (SDB_File.cpp95)

it also errors out when adding songs or trying to play songs even dragging from windows explorer.

I've dried uninstalling the program and reinstalling and still get the same problems.  Please help me in addressing this issue as I've been unable to use Deejaysystem for some time now.

Sorry for the problem. It seems that the database file got corrupted at some point. The only solution available today is to delete the database and start over again adding files and folders. Here are some advices:
  • Uninstall Deejaysystem completely. Ensure that the program's folder has been removed after uninstalling (the uninstaller should have removed it). Then re-install Deejaysystem.
  • Don't add your entire song collection to the playlist. I'm sure your collection is organized in folders. Try adding one folder, then clearing the playlist, then adding another folder and so on.
  • Don't open or play any song while you are updating the song database.
This way you should be able to add your entire collection to the database without problems. Deejaysystem's Playlist component is rather old and haven't been tested with so huge number of songs at once. This may be causing the database corruption.

Next version will provide a Database Tool with compact / merge / repair functions.

Best regards,
