Hi Edy and all, I rarley have issues with DJS, but this weekend i loaded song and during the auto mix it stuttered badley. I hit auto mix manualy to get to the next track, and it played fine until i noticed the counters were not working, then i realised DJS had crashed. Computer was fine, but i could not close DJS, so i had to restart. Once going again, it stuttered 3 more times but did not crash. This has never happened before. Ive only just done a full HDD format, so the computer was clean. All drivers and codecs were installed fresh. Heres the log of what happened..... [23:04] Deck B: Loaded D:\ALL MUSIC AND VIDEO\MP3\ABBA - Dancing Queen.mp3 If you need more of the log, i can send it to you, thanks Edy, Andy. |

It seems that the file "ABBA - mama mia.mpg" was wrongly opened as AUDIO file, not as video file. I guess you were using Deejaysystem VIDEO VJ2, right?
Have you installed any BASS plugin into Deejaysystem? The only reason for a video clip to be opened as an AUDIO file and being able to output that error is that a BASS PLUGIN is recognizing the "mpg" extension as an audio file. I recommend you to browse your computer to this folder: c:\Program Files\Deejaysystem\Deejaysystem Video VJ2\Plugins Then remove everything in this folder except: BASSCD.dll and BASSWMA.dll. Please let me know the results. Best regards, Edited by Edy - 11-Aug-2008 at 12:00 |

Hi Edy, the ABBA file was actualy an mp3 as i dont have the clip for this song. I dont have my mp3s loaded into DJS search function as it can get confusing for me at times, so what i did was drag n drop from my mp3 folder into DJS playlist( i have done this many times before) and that is when the issue happened. I checked the plugins folder and i only have the 2 you mentioned in there. Mind you, after i restarted my system i played the mp3 with no problems at all, the main thing is 3 or 4 videos did the stuttering thing throughout the night but i skipped them and went on to the next song with no problems, the reloaded the stuttering clip and it played fine. heres one of the stuttering errors from early in the night: [22:09] Deck A: Loaded D:\ALL MUSIC AND VIDEO\VIDEO CLIPS\ALL MUSIC AND CLIPS\MUSIC CLIPS\MAIN CLIPS FOLDER\KYLIE MINOUGE - On a night like this.avi Heres the other, it was Greased Lightning and the best way to describe it, is it sounded like it was being time streched: [23:26] Deck B: Loaded D:\ALL MUSIC AND VIDEO\VIDEO CLIPS\ALL MUSIC AND CLIPS\MUSIC CLIPS\MAIN CLIPS FOLDER\wham - wake me up before u go go.mpg As you can see, i played it a few songs later and it played fine. I cant see anything in that log that would suggest any errors? Cheers Edy. P.S This problem is only occuring when a track starts to crossfade into the next, not while the track is already playing. And yes, i was using 3.1.1 Edited by wingtipvortex - 14-Aug-2008 at 06:45 |
