Hi all, ive been getting this error a bit lately.  Clip starts in auto mode then instantly stutters, and another track is loaded and plays fine.  I put the stuttering track straight back into the player and hit start, and it plays fine?

Im using the latest V of DJS, got plenty of RAM and other goodies.  anyone else experienced this?

Ok,  i think ive waited long enough for some tech support!  Please give me some feedback Edy.  This error is happening way to often for my liking, Seriously.

Its affecting my business now,  i need this addressed pronto!.   Your tech support is normaly great,  but 2 weeks is an unacceptable time frame for a response.

Please advise me on this error ASAP.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay! I should read the forum more often, but the support email is answered tipically the same day.

That problem is related with the MP3 codec, and it will be fixed in the next version. For now, I'd recommend you to (re) install the K-Lite Codec Pack in order to get a fresh codec. Ensure to uninstall any software that could have installed a MP3 codec.

Sorry again, hope this helps you.
Best regards,

SmileWe might be lucky.  I just personaly think master tempo is an absolute necessity over any other "feature", even if it was only a 4% bendTongue

Hehehe, I knowwwwwwwwwwww :p

Master Tempo is already implemented and works.... but ONLY with audio files. So I chose not to offer it until it's fully supported.

Have you noticed that the BPM counter doesn't show any value on video files? The same happens with Master Tempo. The video playback  capability was added as "internall patch" to the audio engine. Due to the internal design, some plugins and effects (master tempo, bpm) cannot be applied to to video files.

My plan at this time is to complete the next version with most of pending features that can be added at this time (database management and generic midi among others). Then, I'll start re-designing and re-coding the player from scratch so it would support all those features that cannot be implemented at this time (master tempo, visuals, multi-soundcard support, ASIO...).

I've reviewed the entire thread and my first response was not correct.

The cause for that error is located in the Windows Media Codec. Deejaysystem instruct the codec to open the video file, then queries it periodically for retrieving the decoded audio and video.

The error above means that for some mistery reason the codec stopped decoding the audio, so Deejaysystem's audio buffer stalled. It's not the first time I see this problem with Windows Media files, and I'd bet that it doesn't happen with other formats.

Possible solutions:
Hope this helps.
