Unable to play some videos

Hi, I've recently removed my Deejay programme and re- loaded it so that I can sort my videos, however, it will not play some of the videos that have been downloaded. I have re loaded the codex, but this has not been sucessful. My spare laptop is still OK. Can anyone help??
