i have installed vj2.3.1 on my new system but anytime i try to load a movie it gives me this message: load error: invalid or incompatible file
 please help!!! i really want to use vj2 on my new system. i can watch  or play all the videos in windows media player or any software but not vj2. The videos are in mpeg and avi formats.

What's the video format of the files you're trying to play?
Note that DRM videos are not supported yet...

Please send me the detailed LOG files. This way I'll tell you exactly why the videos fail to load and I'll give you a solution. I've sent you the instructions to your email @hotmail.

 i think my problem ist the same :

all my videos are "avi" and "asf" and "mpg" and everytime i want to load my video´s my nootebook make a newstart

That error just means that you're either using an old VJ2 version or that you're using MK2, which is an audio-only player.

In order to really know what's the problem you must enable the option "Advanced > Record detailed LOG", then make the program fail. The resulting log file will contain a detailed error message.

That error (E_UNEXPECTED) means that a fatal error ocurred while initializing the video codecs. It's not an error in Deejaysystem, but in one of your codecs. Here are some possible fixes:
  • Ensure that latest DirectX version is installed (http://www.microsoft.com/directx).
  • Upgrade your display adapter drivers to the latest version available (visit your display manufacturer's website).
  • Un-install any other video playback software or video codec.
  • Un-install the K-Lite Codec Pack Deejaysystem Edition and re-install it in Compatibility mode (you'll be asked during setup).

i have uninstalled and installed all what you have say, but my problem still exist.i have testify to load a part of my video-hardiskdrive and the result was all songs was loaded.have you other ideas for a solution

It seems that something persists at your system that is preventing the videos to be properly loaded. I know that it would be hard, but I'd recommend you to fully re-install your Windows in order to get a clean system. If your hardware meets the minimum requirements for Deejaysystem Video, then a clean system should work perfect for you.

And a final test: try to disable any background software that is running in your system like anti-virus, anti-spams, and any other software that is not part of the standard Windows setup. I'd recommend you to disconnect your computer from internet for safety during this test.

If the videos still don't load, then I don't see any solution but re-install a clean system.
